GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
These are ROP type groups of power resistors, formed by stainless steel frames on which the resistive wire is wound, assembled in packs with special braces and connected in series or parallel (depending on the final ohm value).
They are used in electrical traction, in starting and adjustment of large motors, in electric braking devices and in load systems for generators, test benches, harmonic filters and grounding of the star point.
The high power value and the large amount of energy that can be dissipated are obtained by the significant content of winding alloy and by the high impulse temperatures that can be tolerated without alteration or damage.
The high level of insulation is obtained through use of top quality ceramic materials.
