GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Industrial resistors with extremely high overload characteristics, which are mechanically very robust, non-flammable, with excellent insulation and high dissipation capacity. Thanks to these characteristics, they are particularly suited for load groups and in railway traction applications. The external protection is ensured by a ceramic cement coating. The resistive element consists of wire in Ni-Cr alloy or constantan, twisted on an extremely high quality elliptical ceramic support. The support is secured by a stainless steel frame equipped with holes or slots for fixing. The resistors can be produced with different slot arrangements (type “A”, “B” or “C”).
- Standard tolerance ± 5%
- Temperature coefficient ≤ 100 ppm/°C
- Insulation resistance > 100 Mohm (500 Vdc)
- Max working temperature 350°C
On request, a version with Ayrton – Perry type inductance low winding
The nominal power Pn in the table refers to the resistor placed horizontally in the open air with natural circulation with an ambient temperature of 25°C.
With forced ventilation, the nominal power dissipation capacity of the resistor increases according to the air speed.
