GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
These resistors were designed to obtain maximum power dissipation in optimum working conditions.
The resistive wire is wound on a suitable ceramic support to sustain high thermal shock and is covered with inorganic cement resistant to solvents. The protection offered is not only non-flammable, but is also sufficient for normal environmental conditions. The temperature resistance of the cement is greater than the fusion temperature of the winding wire.
The connections are installed with standard collars or with terminals for pressure plugs (fast-on); the electric contact is guaranteed by rivets or (on request) by screws.
- Standard tolerance: ± 5%
- Temperature coefficient: ≤ 100 ppm/°C
- Insulation resistance: > 100 Mohm (500 Vdc)
- Max working temperature: 350°C
On request, a version with Ayrton – Perry type inductance low winding.
The nominal power Pn in the table refers to the resistor placed horizontally in the open air with natural circulation with an ambient temperature of 25°C.
With forced ventilation, the nominal power dissipation capacity of the resistor increases according to the air speed.
