GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Professional resistors with extremely high overload characteristics, which are mechanically very robust and non-flammable, with excellent insulation. The joints obtained with electric welding and the large size of the terminals were designed to support strong, brief overloads of short duration and are particularly suitable for use where a low resistive value and high dissipation capacity are required.
The external protection is ensured by a vitreous enamel coating.
The resistive element consists of a flat wire in Ni-Cr alloy or constantan, twisted on a high quality cylindrical ceramic support.
The adjustment collar enables an intermediate value to be established. The stability of the contact is guaranteed up to the maximum surface temperature of 350°C.
- Standard tolerance+ 20%
- Temperature coefficient ≤ 100 ppm/°C
- Insulation resistance > 100 MW (500 Vdc)
- Max working temperature 400°C
N.B.: For adjustable resistors, you must keep in mind that the nominal power is understood as applied to the entire resistor and if only part of it is powered, the power applied must be reduced in proportion to the part that is not used
The stability of the contact is guaranteed up to the max temperature of 350°C
The nominal power Pn in the table refers to the resistor placed horizontally in the open air with natural circulation with an ambient temperature of 25°C.
With forced ventilation, the dissipating nominal power from the resistor increases based on the speed of the air.
