GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Power resistors consisting of a stainless steel frame holding the insulating inserts in ceramic material, on which the resistive wire is wound. Given their flat shape, they are suitable for assembly in groups of several elements. They are used in electrical traction, in starting and adjustment of large motors, in electric braking devices and in load systems for generators, test benches, harmonic filters and grounding of the star point. The high power value and the large amount of energy that can be dissipated are obtained by the significant content of winding alloy and by the high impulse temperatures that can be tolerated without alteration or damage. The high level of insulation is obtained through use of top quality ceramic materials.
ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
OPTIONAL
ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Standard tolerance ± 5%
- Temperature coefficient ≤ 100 ppm/°C
- Maximum applicable voltage 1000 V
- Use limit temperature -55°C / +500°C (800°C for pulses based on alloy used)
The nominal power Pn is considered for a resistor placed with the longest side horizontally and with the shortest side vertically, with free air circulation and with an ambient temperature of 25°C.
With forced ventilation, the dissipating nominal power from the resistor increases based on the speed of the air.
OPTIONAL
- Application of a NC KLIXON type thermal contact
- Ohm values off standard compatibly with production
- Intermediate sockets
- Off standard tolerances
